Who will look after the players?
The team management comprises three people who take care of the organisation of the week and act as contact person at all times. The aim is to make it as easy as possible for the players to focus on sport and school. Everything is geared towards maximum success!
The coaching staff consists of a head coach, his two assistants, a goalkeeping coach, an athletics coach and a physiotherapist.
Is there a curfew for the players?
Yes, there is a curfew at 10pm. However, there may be exceptions, for example if the team attends a Champions League match or spends team evenings together. This will always be done under supervision. The safety and well-being of the players is our top priority.
Does the head coach have a UEFA A licence?
The head coach of the Athletic Bilbao FC Academy holds a UEFA A licence. Generally, every coach has a specialised education in the field of football.
Does the player bear the costs of the program
The Athlettic Bilbao Global Academy is a full-time program that is subject to a fee and can be financed by a one-time payment or in installments. The costs cover all expenses directly related to the project. The exact breakdown will be presented and explained transparently in the recruitment process.
